Newcastle Set to Rattle Inter Cage for Two Players

Newcastle United are the latest club to rattle Inter’s cage. The Magpies have been experiencing a fairytale season in the Premier League, strongly in line for a top four finish to appear in the UEFA Champions League next season. With the backing of the Saudi-led consortium, Newcastle have strongly been investing across various positions, and might just find themselves submitting a bid for either Denzel Dumfries or Marcelo Brozovic, or perhaps even both.

Latest reports emerging from Italy and England have pointed to a summer assault by the Magpies, as the English side have already enquired about the availability of the Nerazzurri players.

Dumfries in particular is a strong contender to switch, having been linked to the exit door all season. His agent Rafaela Pimenta has reportedly held talks with Manchester United and Chelsea already, but Newcastle aim to spoil the party.

The Dutch fullback is expected to move for around €40M, with his contract at the Meazza expiring only in the summer of 2025. Inter have already began talks to sign his successor, Tajon Buchanan of Club Brugge.

Brozovic, whose deal at Inter expires in 2026, is another candidate set to depart in the summer. However, Newcastle will have to tussle Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona for securing the Croatian midfielder’s signature.

At the moment, Newcastle are keeping a close eye on developments on both players as they seek to bolster their squad ahead of the campaign in Europe.
