Newcastle United Ready to Spend Big on Napoli Marksman

Victor Osimhen’s gradual rise as one of the world’s best young strikers in undeniable. The Nigerian played a key role by bagging a comeback brace against Udinese over the weekend, pushing his Napoli team momentarily to the top of Serie A standings.

His performances have garnered attention from all around Europe and especially the Premier League, where Arsenal have already showed their interest. However, latest reports from Corriere dello Sport (via TuttoNapoli) puts the richest club in the world Newcastle United in the spotlight.

The Partenopei signed Osimhen for a whopping but controversial transfer fee of around the €60-70m mark, but the Magpies from north England are ready to pounce on the highly-rated striker with an even better offer. Newcastle’s new owners are reportedly ready to part ways with no less than €100m for the 23-year-old ex-Lille forward.

Newcastle are also joined by Tottenham Hotspur as suitors, with Antonio Conte reportedly a fan of the Nigerian’ style of play.

Osimhen has played a key role in Napoli’s resurgence as one of Italy’s best teams, scoring an impressive 15 times and registering 4 assists in 25 appearances for the southerners so far this season.
