Not Only Højlund, Milan Rekindle Interest in RB Salzburg’s Okafor

Milan are not keen on banking on just one choice to bolster their attack following burgeoning interest in Atalanta striker Rasmus Højlund. Versatile RB Salzburg forward Noah Okafor is also high on the Rossoneri shortlist for a summer move, especially after the Switzerland international already expressed interest in switching to Milan last year.

Following months of evaluation by Rossoneri scouts, the class of 2000 has been deemed suitable for a transfer at the end of the season, as per Calciomercato. Recent contacts have reportedly taken place between the player’s entourage and Milan management led by Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara.

With Okafor himself keen on making the move, Milan are willing to put forth an offer as soon as the summer window opens ahead of the next season.

The FC Basel youth product is valued around the €25M mark, according to transfermarkt, but with a contract valid until 2024, Salzburg are in a position to vary their financial demands. Okafor has 34 goals in 102 appearances for the Austrian outfit since joining from his boyhood club in 2019.
