Nottingham Eye Audero Signature from Sampdoria

Emil Audero’s fifth season at Sampdoria might as well be his final one. Audero, who is set to return to Serie A following the Genoa-based outfit’s relegation, is a wanted shotstopper – on the radar of several clubs.

According to Calciomercato, the Blucerchiati keeper is being tailed by some important clubs, including one from the Premier League. Fiorentina, Inter, Lazio and Juventus have all expressed interest in signing Audero from the newly-relegated side alongside English top-tier dark horses Nottingham Forest.

Having joined the Bianconeri youth ranks in 2008, Audero emerged on the other side in 2016. However, he took a good year to make his full professional debut with Juventus, at the age of 20. The Turin giants tried signing him in the recently culminated January transfer window with the hop of bringing him back, but received a straight no from the goalkeeper.

An offer worth €8M is expected to fall Sampdoria’s way this month from England, as Nottingham Forest remain strong contenders to secure his signature.
