OFFICIAL: Juventus Reunite with Kean After Everton and PSG Spells

Juventus have brought back Moise Kean after two years abroad. The 21-year-old has re-joined the club on a two-season loan with a conditioned obligation to buy. The striker spent time at Everton and PSG after leaving the Bianconeri in 2019. The final sum of the convoluted formula could amount up to €38M.

Kean entered the Juventus youth system when he was 11, which will help with the Champions League list. After a formative year at Verona, he was part of the first team in 2018-2019, when he scored 7 goals in 17 appearances. Juventus opted to sell him at the end of that campaign. They were struggling to come to terms on his extension, and he had just a year left on his contract. Plus, his agent Mino Raiola was clamoring for him to get more playing time.

The Old lady shipped him to Everton for €27,5M, but he did not live up to expectations with the Toffees. He found the target just 4 times in 39 games. Everton sent him to PSG on loan the following summer. Kean bounced back in Ligue 1, bagging 17 goals in 41 matches across all competitions. However, the French side did not retain him after the temporary spell.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Giorgio Chiellini reached out to the youngster before the move. The captain invited him to fix some attitude problems that were not appreciated by the locker room in the past. The same issue likely cost Kean his spot in the Euro roster. He has nine caps with the Italian national team.
