Milan outcast Tiemoué Bakayoko has long been linked to an exit from Milan, and Galatasaray expressed some interest in signing him.

OFFICIAL: Milan Bring Back Tiemoué Bakayoko from Chelsea

Tiemoué Bakayoko is back for another stint at Milan. The Rossoneri reached an agreement with Chelsea last Friday, and the player took the medicals and put pen-to-paper over the weekend. The club made the deal official earlier today.

The 27-year-old midfielder returns on a two-year loan. If they redeemed him in 2023, Milan would pay a total of €20M between the initial fee and the option to buy, Sky Sport reports. The clubs met in the middle compared to their initial evaluation. Bakayoko will land in the Peninsula either late on Friday or on Saturday morning to take the medicals.

The Frenchman previously played at Milan in 2018/2019 season, appearing in 42 matches and scoring once. Afterward, he spent a season on loan at Monaco and then at Napoli. He featured 42 games in the most recent campaign, tallying 2 goals and 2 assists. He has one cap with his national team.

Bakayoko was eager to reunite with the Rossoneri and took a €500k pay cut to facilitate the deal. He will make €2.5M per season. He will provide precious depth in the midfield, considering also that Franck Kessié and Ismael Bennacer will partake in the African Cup of Nations in January.

His arrival has allowed Tommaso Pobega to go out on loan again, as the youngster secured a move to Torino Saturday. Milan have also sealed the deal for Yacine Adli, but he will finish the season at Bordeaux. In light of this new development, they might not be done adding pieces to their midfield.
