OFFICIAL: Milan Sign Junior Messias from Crotone on an Initial Loan

After blowing the deal with Brest for star midfielder Romain Faivre, Milan turned their sights on finalizing a deal for Crotone forward Junior Messias. The versatile Brazilian has moved to the Rossoneri and the official details were finalized on deadline day. He joined on a €2.6M season-long loan with a €5.4M option to buy, Alfredo Pedullà reports.

The 30-year-old Brazilian can feature in multiple positions between the midfield and the attack. He featured as a second-striker and an offensive box-to-box last season. He can play also as a no.10 or on the flanks. Milan beat the competition from Sassuolo, Fiorentina, and Torino to sign him.

Messias played 36 times for Crotone the last season in Serie A, scoring nine goals and providing four assists in 3,218 total playing minutes throughout the season. Unfortunately, he could not save the club from slipping down to Serie B. Milan also completed the signing of Yacine Adli earlier today, who will remain on loan at Bordeaux as expected.
