OFFICIAL: Ronaldo Seals Sensational Manchester United Return

Cristiano Ronaldo has completed a remarkable transfer back to Manchester United and Juventus agreed a deal for him. Three years after arriving from Madrid in 2018, Ronaldo leaves the Bianconeri with 101 goals in 134 appearances.

According to Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils have confirmed a €28m transfer deal the superstar who rose to unprecedented heights at the club which he left twelve years ago. Juventus have not yet paid off the whole sum of money to Real Madrid and expect Manchester United to cover it in the deal.

The club’s official statement read:Manchester United is delighted to confirm that the club has reached agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo, subject to agreement of personal terms, visa and medical.”

The Portuguese denied a move to Manchester City, the club he was heavily linked to for the past two days, in order to join the red side of town.

Earlier Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer commented: “Cristiano has been a legend of this club, he is a legend of this club, he’s the greatest player of all time, if you ask me. I was fortunate enough to play with him, I coached him (in 2008) when I got my job. He almost retired me in that Wolverhampton game (in 2003) when I got injured because he kept switching sides!”

The sensational move will see Ronaldo undertake his medical in Portugal before signing off a two-year £480,000-a-week deal.

Coach Massimiliano Allegri earlier urged the Bianconeri not to dwell on it.

The news will come as a shock to the footballing fraternity in a transfer window that has already witnessed Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos move to Paris Saint-Germain, Kylian Mbappe poised to move to Madrid and Chelsea bringing in Romelu Lukaku.
