Norway talent Ola Solbakken touched down at Rome’s Flumicino airport this afternoon ahead of his free transfer to the Giallorossi from Bodo/Glimt. He will become the first official winter signing for Jose Mourinho’s side going into the second half of the season.

Roma beat Napoli and Europa League title-holders Eintracht Frankfurt to the young attacker’s signing.

Solbakken will carry out his medical examination at Villa Stuart before signing a five-year deal at Roma, until 30 June 2027. The Norwegian will become an official signing once his existing contract at Bodo/Glimt expires on 31 December.

Ola Solbakken will however be unavailable for training with the first team immediately due to his existing contract still in place, missing the club’s tour of Japan at the end of November.

Nevertheless, Roma fans can rejoice because it won’t be long before they watch him play. He will be at Mourinho’s disposal for the highly-anticipated encounters against Bologna and Milan once Serie A resumes.
