Osimhen Knows Exactly Where He Wants to Be in the Future

Victor Osimhen’s future is all but decided by none other than the striker himself. With all efforts currently stretched to bring the Scudetto to Naples after a 33-year break, the Nigerian striker might as well be playing his final season in the south of Italy despite his contract only expiring in the summer of 2025.

As relayed by TuttoNapoli, there has been heavy interest in luring the former Lille forward to the Premier League, which is also his dream destination.

Napoli are prepared to be hoarded by big offers from English clubs come summer, with Manchester United and Chelsea at the forefront of efforts to sign Osimhen. President Aurelio De Laurentiis is keen on keeping the striker tied to the Partenopei, but it is purely the economic aspect the club will struggle to compete with.

Both Chelsea and United are willingly ready to splash upwards of €100M for the center-forward, including a major rise in salary- perhaps double the €4.5-5M he earns at Napoli. In spite of the Italians wanting to hold on to Osimhen, it is bound to be just a matter of time before they lose ground on the economic front.

However, the current target remains as it was at the start of the season. Osimhen’s scintillating form, alongside fellow playmaker Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, makes Napoli a real contender not only for the Scudetto, which is pretty much already sealed, but also for the UEFA Champions League.
