Galatasaray are confident that Victor Osimhen will stay put past the winter window, while the buzz about his potential transfer to Juventus in 2025 is intensifying. Deputy president Ibrahim Haitpoglu announced it to Sport Kazani (via Goal).
“There’s no chance he leaves the team in January. He’ll stay with us until June. Debating about this thing only ruins the pleasure of seeing him play. Everybody is happy. He shows how attached he is to our club in every game. He’s under contract with us until the end of the season.”
The official made a bold declaration.
“We’re planning how to keep him here in the next campaign as well. Rather than discuss a possible departure in the next window, we should focus on how to continue enjoying him in the future. It makes no sense to speak about a mid-season exit.”
According to Tuttomercatoweb, the release clause of Osimhen will remain €130M in the next transfer market session. It will decrease to €80M for foreign teams next summer. Such a sum also coincides with Napoli’s request. It’s unrealistic that somebody will put forth a nine-digit bid for him at this stage.
Juventus splurged on Dusan Vlahovic in January a few years ago, but there’s nothing in the works in that regard for now. The Bianconeri could eventually go after the Nigerian star after selling the Serb. They are the only Serie A team that could afford him and his wages.
Our Take on Juventus, Napoli, and Osimhen
It’d make sense in a vacuum, but relations and fan reactions matter. Moreover, the Bianconeri should probably steer clear of handing out massive salaries no matter what.
