Victor Osimhen talked highly of Naples and voiced his satisfaction about his great season in an interview with Elegebete TV Sports (via Mediaset).
“I’m extremely proud of myself. I’m putting up insane numbers. That’s good for me and the team. I will give everything I have in the next few matches to make sure our dream of being champions come true. The Scudetto is starting to become reality.”
The striker heaped praise on Luciano Spalletti.
“I like him because we have the same mentality. He doesn’t think it’s done until it’s actually done. That’s what he conveyed to the locker room too. We are working even harder in practice as if we had to avoid relegation. That’s our key and secret. Our veterans like Giovanni Di Lorenzo and Mario Rui are trying to indoctrinate the new teammates about what happened in recent seasons, where we were, how we lived, and what it means to win here. We need to do well in the last few games to be successful.”
Osimhen underlined the uniqueness of Naples.
“It’s one of a kind, as it has completely different vibes compared to any other place. When you are here, you understand why players want to stay for a long time. The fans show incredible love toward footballers. I have never seen anything like this. There’s a wall painting dedicated to Diego Armando Maradona which proves that you make people happy when you give your best effort. You are certain they’ll support you forever.
