Paraguay and Brighton Talent Enciso Draws Napoli Attention

Brighton and Hove Albion forward Julio César Enciso Espínola a.k.a Julio Enciso is a target for Rudi Garcia’s Napoli, as per an exclusive from The Telegraph. The Paraguay talent, despite being known to star in the center-forward position, is known for his versatility in the final third, and the Scudetto winners wish to lure him away from Roberto De Zerbi.

Enciso joined Brighton in July 2022 and quickly won over De Zerbi, helping the Seagulls finish sixth place and securing a historic European spot with his 4 goals from 26 appearances across all competitions.

Napoli have reportedly taken concrete interest in signing Enciso, who is yet to receive a formal offer that would dictate proceedings. He has also been tracked by Manchester City in the past before Brighton signed him from Libertad Asuncion last year.

“Julio has big, big potential. I want him to play better, I want him to play for the team and I think he can improve. If he stays with us I think for sure, he can improve,” commented De Zerbi after Enciso turned recipient for Brighton’s 2022/23 goal of the season for his formidable long-range drive against Manchester City.

Having joined the Seagulls just last summer, Enciso rose through Chelsea’s ranks in a tumultuous season that saw the Blues finish 12th – outside the top ten for the first time since 1995/96.
