Parma Director Does Not Rule Out Departure of Inter Target

Parma sporting director Marcello Carli discussed few transfer market-related topics in an interview with ParmaLive.com, including the future of Gervinho, who has often been linked to Inter in the last few weeks, and did not shut the door on the possible departure of his star player.

“It is a particular situation because Parma thought that he would leave last January and as a matter of fact acquired Gianluca Caprari for considerable. Gervinho had decided that his stay was over, but then he did not reach agreement with the other club. We will have to see what his intentions are now. He is serene, we are sorry he did come to Crotone because of an injury. He has not given us any signals about leaving, but we do not know what will happen in two weeks.”

The Ivorian international was about to join Al-Sadd in early 2020, but the move fell through at the last moment. He was actually frozen out for some time since he missed practice to force the transfer, but then he patched thigs up with coach Roberto D’Aversa and the rest of the squad.

Carli also touched on Roberto Inglese: “He has been Parma’s richest investment in recent years. He is recovering and he sees the light at the end of the tunnel, we are working to get him back at his previous levels. We could part ways with him only if he received an important offer, otherwise it would be insanity. I think he will stay and that he will be our most important addition.”
