Pastorello Updates on Meret, De Vrij, Acerbi and Arthur

Agent Federico Pastorello attended the TransferRoom Summit at Stamford Bridge and discussed his main clients in an interview with Tuttomercatoweb, starting with Alex Meret.

“I’m happy for him. He had to play five games while the situation was highly uncertain, proving his character. The club trusted him, and he’s repaying it. His path was impervious, but it allowed him to grow. We’ll sit down to negotiate an extension down the line. He’s happy to stay. We keep an eye on the market, but the dialogue with the team is open and serene.”

De Vrij’s contract runs out in June.

“We are in talks. Inter proved they esteem him by making a very good offer. It’s a two-year deal, and it’s one of our options. It’s a satisfying one. He took some time to decide. After ten years in Italy, he’s looking around to see whether there’s a change to make a different experience. I wouldn’t rule out inking the renewal soon, though.”

Pastorello also represents Francesco Acerbi.

“His loan envisages a clause to buy him out. We’ll take stock at the end of the season, but he wants to stay. Maurizio Sarri and Lazio went in a different direction, and they are doing well. I don’t think he would be useful to them, and I don’t believe he wants to go back. We’ll have to find a solution.”

Instead, Arthur’s spell at Liverpool hasn’t been as successful.

“He was unlucky, as he joined on deadline day, paid the price for not playing much at Juventus, and suffered a bothersome injury that forced him to have surgery just as he was getting integrated. I think he will return to Turin, and then we’ll decide what to do.”
