Juventus outcast Paul Pogba has delivered his verdict on Manchester United’s disgraceful decision to cancel Sir Alex Ferguson’s ambassador contract with the club. The 31-year-old graduated from the Old Trafford academy down the final stretch of Ferguson’s trophy-laden tenure before joining the Turin giants in 2012.

Pogba would subsequently return to the Theatre of Dreams, only to leave again in 2022 as a flop. Despite his lackluster career at Manchester United, the Frenchman is adamant the Red Devils must pay fitting tribute to the most decorated manager in the club’s illustrious history.

Does it change what he has done for the club?” Pogba said, as reported by Fabrizio Romano. “The only thing I hear is that he won’t get paid anymore. Sir Alex Ferguson will still be Sir Alex Ferguson. He is still in their history and will be forever.”

In one of the most disrespectful decisions in football history, the INEOS-led Manchester United board ‘axed’ the most iconic Premier League manager. With the pretense of ‘cutting costs,’ part-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his associates severed ties with Ferguson.

During his 27-year stint at Old Trafford, the legendary Scottish manager inspired Manchester United to a record 13 Premier League titles, five FA Cups, two Champions League trophies, and four League Cups, including the unprecedented treble of 1999.

Since his departure in 2013, Manchester United have suffered an epic downfall, going 11 years without a league title. During that period, they’ve changed five managers and only won three trophies.
