Paulo Dybala Matches Platini, Nears Juventus’ Top 10 Highest Ever Goalscorers List

Inter were held to a 1-1 draw at the Giuseppe Meazza at the hands of Juventus, who equalized right at the death via Paulo Dybala’s penalty from the spot.

Although the scoreline makes little difference in the league standings, it did boost up the Juventus goalscorer’s name in the the club’s history books as he equaled Michel Platini’s record of 104 goals and nears the top ten in the list.

The Argentine ace currently has 104 goals from 261 club appearances, scoring a goal every 168 minutes of play and possessing a goal per match ratio of 0.40 – just 0.07 lesser than French great Platini who scored the same number of goals in 223 club appearances.

Dybala is now touted to take over Welshman John Charles’ tally of 105 goals and near number ten on the highest ever goalscorers chart – a spot held by legendary Italian forward Roberto Baggio, with 115 goals to his name.

However, none of the aforementioned players even come close to the club’s greatest ever player in Alessandro Del Piero, who is the highest appearance maker and the highest goalscorer for the club – 290 goals in 705 caps.
