Pavard Praises Inzaghi, Talks Thuram and Objectives

Pavard complimented Simone Inzaghi and set his sights on the Scudetto in the second part of a conversation with La Gazzetta dello Sport. He addressed his current boss.

“He’s a leader, a conductor, and a great motivator during the games and in practice. A top manager doesn’t underestimate any team. We have a good relationship, but I have to learn Italian quickly because he knows just a few French words.”

Pavard heaped praise on Marcus Thuram.

“He settled in immediately because the club creates ideal conditions to make us comfortable. I’m happy for him. He’s a special guy, and we hope he continues like this. I’ve great respect for his father. He helps me because he speaks Italian. Instead, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Yann Sommer use French.”

Pavard revealed his goals.

“I’ve come here to put the second star on the jersey and give back the affection I received from the fans. They showed it since before I joined through their messages on social media. They deserve great trophies. It’s true that there are more rivals here than in the Bundesliga for Bayern: Milan, Napoli, Juventus, Lazio, and Fiorentina.”

“The season is still long, though. That’s why I didn’t exaggerate with Olivier Giroud and Theo Hernandez after our large victory in the Derby. Maybe I’ll get another chance at the end of the season if we win the title. As for the Champions League, anything is possible. We have to focus on ourselves and keep working hard.”
