Pinamonti Thanks Inter, Takes Pride in Sassuolo Move

New Sassuolo signing Andrea Pinamonti has taken pride in his transfer move from Inter, citing it as a formidable opportunity to showcase his true worth. At the same time, he offered back to the club for instilling faith in him. He joined the Emilian club on loan from the Nerazzurri, with obligation to buy him at the end of the spell.

Speaking at his first press conference since the switch, Pinamonti shed light on it (via FCInterNews).

“I am happy to be here, I have been pursued by Sassuolo for a long time, and I am looking forward to having a great season together. It is a source of great pride to be here because this team focuses so much on young players. I think it is a stage that can give me as much as I hope I can give back. The goal is to try replicating what they did last year and improve.”

The 23-year-old didn’t forget his parent club for providing him the platform to perform when he was a teenager.

“I will always have to say thank you to Inter because it’s a team that welcomed me when I was 14 and I can’t complain about anything. It’s a fact that I didn’t have many opportunities to prove myself there, but I have nothing against them. Being here can be a springboard to get to a bigger team, but I will focus on doing well here now, then we will see in the future.”

Finally, he commented on whether the pressure of the big-money move affects him.

“It doesn’t matter to me because, over the years, I have learned not to look at the labels that are put on you economically speaking. I’m proud to be here, it’s not a burden, but a responsibility that helps me. It’s a stimulus that pushes me to do even better.”
