Pioli to Sign New Contract as Milan Prepare to Face Fiorentina

Journalist Manuele Baiocchini has said that Milan manager Stefano Pioli’s contract renewal is a done deal and he will earn €3.5M along with bonuses.

Speaking to Sky Italia (via MilanNews), he said: “The match against Fiorentina will be special for Pioli. These are important days for his contract renewal: it is done and concluded within the terms with Pioli who will earn 3.5 million plus bonuses with an agreement until 2024 and with an option for the third year.

“What’s missing? Virtually nothing at a formal level except the OK from Gazidis who will be back in operation next week. The renewal of Pioli will be an important signal regarding the Milan world.

The 56-year-old joined Milan in the summer of 2019 and has helped the team reach a position that could see them on the pathway back to their glory days. Pioli’s renewal is a massive boost for the Rossoneri who are second in the Serie A table, level on points with Napoli, who are ahead only because of a superior goal difference.

However, Milan will be put to test this weekend as they play Fiorentina at the Artemio Franchi Stadium.
