Juventus, and more importantly reigning champions France, have been handed a huge blow with respect to the return of Paul Pogba from injury. The ex-Manchester United midfielder has been ruled out of the upcoming World Cup in Qatar due to his knee injury, for which he underwent surgery at the start of September.
It is understood that Pogba will need further rehabilitation due a to a muscle lesion he ran into during a recovery training phase last week at Continassa.

His agent Rafael Pimenta confirmed the 29-year-old central midfielder’s absence from the France training camp. He will therefore not be joining his national teammates for pre-World Cup briefings under Didier Deschamps.
“After yesterday’s and today’s visits it is extremely painful to announce that he will still need rehabilitation after the knee operation at the beginning of September. For this reason, Paul will not be able to be part of the French national team in Qatar,” said Pimenta.
This means that Pogba will only return to playing ways only after the World Cup, perhaps in January or February, depending upon his pace of recovery. He has not appeared once in the Bianconeri shirt since his move from the Premier League.
