The UEFA Champions League is back in action on Tuesday, and Milan are set to host Tottenham Hotspur in the mouthwatering 1st leg clash at San Siro. The Rossoneri arrive into the clash on the back of a narrow 1-0 win over Torino following a seven-game winless run, including a defeat to Inter in Derby di Milano.
There is positive news arriving from the Milan camp, with Ismael Bennacer and Fikayo Tomori both set to return for the Spurs encounter, according to Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews). Zlatan Ibrahimovic could also feature in the high-profile clash, although it is unlikely after he returned to the first-team squad for the first time since May 2022.

The Round of 16 game will be Milan’s first in the knockout stages of the continental tournament since they were beaten 5-1 on aggregate by Atletico Madrid in the 2013/14 season. They have been eliminated at this stage in five of their previous six appearances, including in the 2011/12 campaign when they lost 1-0 to Tottenham on aggregate.
The clash also represents a heavy task for the visitors, who arrive at San Siro following a 4-1 drubbing at the hands of Leicester City in the Premier League.
