Top seeds Juventus will take on Filippo Inzaghi’s Salernitana, with the Granata comfortably beating Andrea Pirlo’s Sampdoria. A potential Derby d’Italia encounter could take place if Juve and Inter qualify.
Sassuolo were the only team to pass through to the last 16 on penalties with victory over Spezia, as they face Atalanta in an interesting tactical match-up. In other news, Roma will meet Cremonese in their Coppa Italia debut, whereas Claudio Ranieri’s Cagliari will play Milan.
