Juventus might have thought they weathered the storm when Manchester United dropped their interest in Gleison Bremer earlier in July. However, the Turin heavyweights could face another battle to keep hold of their sought-after defender.
According to TWM, an unnamed Premier League club has placed a watchful eye on the former Torino center-back. On top of that, the undisclosed English side would reportedly offer Juventus up to €70 million to purchase the Brazilian star.
It could be just another round of speculation. Yet, if such an offer does arrive at the Allianz Stadium, Juventus would hardly stay immune. Thiago Motta sees Bremer as a centerpiece of his defensive set-up for next season. But no Italian club can afford to refuse such a figure.
Juventus signed the 27-year-old from Torino in the summer of 2022 after Matthijs de Ligt joined Bayern Munich. Bremer has since become the cornerstone of Bianconeri’s backline, developing into one of the highest-rated defenders in European football, let alone Serie A.
Bremer’s rise to stardom at Juventus hasn’t gone unnoticed. Man Utd tried to lure him out of Italy last summer. Erik ten Hag briefly revived his interest in the Brazilian earlier in the summer before opting for 18-year-old Leny Yoro. The youngster’s switch from Lille to Old Trafford came as a relief for Juventus.
Unfortunately, the list of Bremer’s admirers seemingly doesn’t end there. Juventus would ideally keep the robust rearguard in Turin next season, but a stratospheric proposal from abroad could change their minds.
