PSG Contact Inter for Skriniar But High Demands Pose Issues

It is no secret that PSG have long been admirers of Inter stopper Milan Skriniar, but they will first need to wade off Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur’s presence if they wish to bolster their defense.

Just like the French champions, the aforementioned English clubs are keen on reinforcing their backline, and Chelsea of all three perhaps need the Slovakian more badly, especially considering their dwindling backline.

The Nerazzurri have failed to boil down an extension with their star defender so far, whose contract expires in the summer of 2023, which makes him a candidate to depart this summer. However, the center-back vowed to stay in his most recent remarks to the press about his future.

PSG have only enquired about the possibility of signing Skirinar, and no official moves have been made with Inter yet, French newspaper Le Parisien reports. The Slovak is held in high regard by the club’s new sporting director Luis Campos.

The French club is reportedly also on the hunt to steal Inter target Gianluca Scamacca, who is also on Arsenal’s radar.

Skriniar is valued nothing short of €50-60M by Inter, who are stern with their demands, keeping in mind the 27-year-old’s stature as one of the finest center-backs in Europe.
