PSG Currently Distant from Acquiring Osimhen or Lookman

PSG lost Gonçalo Ramos for the foreseeable future but haven’t accelerated to bring in either Victor Osimhen or Ademola Lookman. They might not do it at all. At this stage, they are leaning toward standing pat and counting on their other forwards, L’Equipe reports (via Tuttomercatoweb).

The Portuguese striker will miss three months after undergoing ankle surgery in Qatar. Despite that, the Ligue 1 champions aren’t close to signing a replacement. Randal Kolo Muani will pick up the slack. They are deep on the wings, where they have Ousmane Dembélé, Marco Asensio, and Bradley Barcola and just added Desiré Doué.

PSG reportedly tabled a low offer for Osimhen in previous weeks, while they were far off from Atalanta’s valuation for Lookman in the initial contacts, even though the player asked not to play in the most recent match because of the negotiation, Relevo’s Matteo Moretto reports.

Atalanta’s exec Luca Percassi stated their goal was to keep all their best players. It’s not yet sure whether the Nigerian speedster will return to training this week. Instead, Teun Koopmeiners has produced another medical certificate to be exonerated while the talks with Juventus proceed very slowly, Mediaset reports.

La Dea will be pleased, and perhaps such a situation is more salvageable than the Dutchman’s one. Not so much Napoli, as the saga is holding up several deals.
