PSG Fuel Osimhen Exit Links, Offer Napoli Three Players

Napoli could lose Victor Osimhen this summer transfer window, with all signs pointing the Nigerian marksman to the French capital. Earlier reports indicated Paris Saint-Germain’s intention of purchasing Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in a bumper transfer offer.

Saudi Pro League clubs are also reportedly keen on signing Osimhen, with heavyweights like Manchester United and Bayern Munich tussling for his signature in the past as well. However, of all the teams vying for his signature, PSG are expected to make the first move, although no formal proposal has been put forth for Aurelio De Laurentiis and company to evaluate.

Osimhen has a €130M release clause attached to his contract, which PSG in particular want to significantly reduce. To add to the mix, three names have reportedly been put on the table by the Parisians in a player-plus-cash deal. Carlos Soler, Nordi Mukiele and Lee Kang-in are the three names mentioned.

In a press conference at Napoli’s pre-season training camp, Antonio Conte also revealed the existence of some kind of agreement between Osimhen and the Partenopei to potentially part ways this summer. Napoli are reportedly eyeing Romelu Lukaku to replace the Nigerian.

Osimhen is currently training with the team at their pre-season camp in Dimaro and has seen a significant drop in the number of clubs wanting to sign him after a poor season with the Partenopei.

Our Take on Osimhen’s exit links

The Nigerian’s agent, Roberto Calenda, was spotted in Paris on Monday to discuss the possibility of a move to Paris. And it won’t be surprising to see the striker leave this summer. However, the center-forward’s bountiful release clause remains a challenge for interested clubs to tackle.
