Rafael Leao is a potential target for Paris Saint-Germain the following summer, with Lionel Messi conceivably leaving the French champions at the end of the current season. PSG have Leao as their main target to replace the Argentine legend.
According to Tuttosport, PSG are ready to shell out a whopping sum of money in order to sign the Portuguese winger. He has a release clause set at €150M, and it is a well known fact that PSG will not hesitate activating it, having already revealed their interest in him in the previous transfer windows.
However, on the other hand, the Milan management – mainly Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara – want to see the ex-Lille prodigy stay put at San Siro. A contract renewal is in sights, with Leao’s current deal expiring in 2024.
The Rossoneri are currently in talks with agent Jorge Mendes over a new deal but the demands of €7M net per season could be a barrier.
Leao has attracted attention from some of the top clubs in the world, including Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United. Nevertheless, he has always maintained his intention to continue his future with the Scudetto champions.
