Juventus marquee striker Dusan Vlahovic continues to make the headlines as his future in Turin hangs by a thread. Paris Saint-Germain remain interested in the former Fiorentina ace, though they’ve yet to launch an official proposal, says Fabrizio Romano.
Vlahovic has fallen out of favor with Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri. Despite joining the club as one of the most expensive signings in the Bianconeri history less than two years ago, the 23-year-old could soon wave goodbye to the Allianz Stadium.
Allegri refused to use Vlahovic as a regular first-team striker last season. Facing competition from Arkadiusz Milik, the Serbia international only made 22 Serie A starts in 2022/23. But he still tallied ten goals and two assists as Juventus failed to qualify for the Champions League for the first time in over a decade.
The reconstruction bells are ringing, and no one is safe. PSG are reportedly weighing up a move for Vlahovic. Kylian Mbappe’s future in Paris is up in the air, not to mention Lionel Messi left the team to join Inter Miami in the early summer days. As such, new boss Luis Enrique is searching for a new center-forward.
Vlahovic has had ups and downs at Juventus. However, he’s still a household name with plenty of room for improvement. PSG are willing to take a gamble with the Serb, though they’re not the only side hopeful of taking him away from Turin.
Chelsea are also in the mix as Mauricio Pochettino looks to put his stamp on the Blues squad. Meanwhile, Allegri wants to revamp his options in the front third, with Galatasaray star Nicolo Zaniolo handing Juventus a massive transfer boost.
