Adrien Rabiot has been recently rumored to have made up his mind about staying at Juventus for at least another season. However, her mother and agent has come out to proclaim that wasn’t the case. She issued a statement to Ansa (via 90min).
“I completely deny the news spread by the sports press last Thursday about Adrien’s renewal with Juventus. He hasn’t made any decision about his future. He’s exclusively focused on the pitch and this season.”
“There are no ongoing discuss with any club. Even though I got angry when I saw the first-page news and the article, which is nothing more than a journalistic invention, I decided to answer only today to avoid interfering with his match.”
Rabiot and Juventus defeated Napoli on Friday, the day after the report first circulated. The Frenchman is under contract with the Bianconeri only until the end of the season. He had previously voiced his intention to wait before re-upping or deciding what to do next in general.

Even though it would have been standard proceedings given the timetable, the acceleration seemed odd considering his previous remarks. While the Old Lady has all the interest in the world in keeping him happy and in town, as they’d have to spend a pretty penny to replace him, it’ll be interesting to see whether they’ll act more pragmatically with Cristiano Giuntoli at the helm now. A departure for free would be highly detrimental.
