Ranieri Praises Mourinho and Roma for Convincing Dybala

Iconic Italian manager Claudio Ranieri has praised José Mourinho and Roma for luring Paulo Dybala to the capital city, putting an end to a transfer saga that involved Inter, Milan and Napoli all in the fray. The Rome-born veteran thinks the Giallorossi have executed a fine piece of business by signing the mercurial Argentine forward.

The manager spoke to the microphones of La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Dybala is a top player, he shifts the balance, he makes the difference in the offensive sector, and he has chosen Roma also because someone like Mourinho trains them. Here I want to congratulate him for adding somebody helpful to the team’s plans.”

The Leicester City legend also highlighted what the Giallorossi should aim for in 2022/23

“It seems that they have taken a path that will take them far. This purchase logically makes people dream. The goal for now I would say is to enter the Champions League.”

Roma finished in 6th place last season, one point behind capital rivals Lazio. However, Mourinho’s men have seen their squad strengthen with the onboardings of Dybala, goalkeeper Mile Svilar, fullback Zeki Celik and the manager’s favorite, Nemanja Matic. They will look to conquer the Europa League next season.
