RB Salzburg Set Price Tag for Roma and Atalanta Target

Oumar Solet recently mentioned his interest in moving to Roma and being coached by José Mourinho. The Giallorossi would have to make a decently-sized investment and beat out the competition to bring him in, Calciomercato informs.

RB Salzburg want €17M to part ways with the promising Frenchman. Atalanta and Inter are keen on him too. La Dea, in particular, could decide to pursue him in January already since they have had to deal with a few injuries in the back.

On top of Solet, Roma are going after Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah. José Mourinho openly stated that he expected a new center-back from the transfer market in his latest presser.

The Blues outcast hasn’t been healthy either, but he has returned to full training in recent days. The Giallorossi opened talks to onboard him on loan, but they aren’t the only side that wants him. Malang Sarr is in a similar spot, but they prefer his teammate.

Director Tiago Pinto will have to build a budget through some sales. Per La Repubblica (via Tuttomercatoweb), Palmeiras, Corinthians, and Flamengo are tracking Matias Vina, who’s currently on loan at Sassuolo. He’ll depart permanently if a club, the Neroverdi included, offers €10M.

Our Take on Roma, Solet, and Chalobah

They need somebody who’d be ready to contribute right away with no adjustment period, so it’d be preferable to buy from fellow Serie A sides. The problem for them is that teams aren’t just giving away reliable contributors.
