Real Betis Star Forward in Roma and Milan Crosshairs

Real Betis attacker Nabil Fekir has fast turned into a fan favorite at the Estadio Benito Villamarin since arriving from boyhood club Olympique Lyonnais back in the 2019/20 season, and his brilliant performances have caught the attention of Milan and Roma. The 28-year-old is presently in his fourth season running in La Liga, but might soon be lured to Serie A.

According to exclusive information relayed by Goal, the Lyon youth product is on the radars of the Italian sides. The 1993-born striker has reportedly been scouted on a regular basis, and both clubs see it as an opportunity to bolster their respective frontlines. Among the duo, José Mourinho’s Roma have shown more concrete interest in his ability.

However, any interested suitor will first have to meet the €35M asking price set upon by the Andalusians. The high price is partly because Betis owe Lyon 20% of a future resale as per a clause in his contract, with an additional 10% heading his way.

No official advances have been made by either Milan or Roma, or any other club to capture Fekir just yet. However, that could change soon, especially given Betis’ intention of freeing up their wage bills. The creative forward has 22 goals in 118 caps for the Verdiblancos.
