Real Madrid Ace Pricey Mark for Milan, Juventus and Arsenal

Milan and Juventus have been linked to Marcos Asensio in recent weeks, as they are searching for a new option in his role. However, even though he has just a year on his contract with Real Madrid, his price tag is hefty.

According to Calciomercato, Los Merengues demand €40M for the attacker. A deal might be struck at €30/35M late in the window if his extension talks keep stalling. It would be a major disbursement for the two Serie A sides, also considering that the Spaniard earns €7M per year and asked for a raise.

Arsenal are a serious threat to Milan and Juventus for Asensio, Marca informs. The Bianconeri are the least likely option at the moment. Real Madrid might still be able to convince him to prolong his contract, the publication informs.

The Rossoneri have had direct contacts with Los Galacticos. They are generally reluctant to hand out large wages. In the meantime, they have decided to keep Brahim Diaz for another season, as per the previous agreement. They will soon communicate the choice to his entourage, Calciomercato reports. Despite that, they will add a new attacker, likely somebody that can play as no.10, this summer.

Instead, Juventus will continue to wait for Angel Di Maria’s answer before turning towards other targets. Their latest offer was a one-year contract with an optional second season, SportMediaset informs. David Neres is no longer an option as he will take the medicals for Benfica today, UOL Esporte relays.

Our Take on Milan and Juventus Eyeing Asensio

The 26-year-old would fit the technical needs of both Italian sides. He could arguably improve the level of his game with a featured role. However, given the size of the investment, it feels more like a Premier League-type of transfer.
