Milan captain Davide Calabria is a player in demand. Although the 26-year-old has endured a shaky recent week despite a pleasant start to the season, he finds himself on the transfer radar with a Rossoneri contract expiring in the summer of 2025.
🚨 #EXCL | Real Madrid could make a move for AC Milan's 26-year-old Italian right-back Davide Calabria if they fail to sign Chelsea's 23-year-old English right-back Reece James.

Having extended his Milan stay back in 2021, Calabria could soon find the exit door at San Siro. As per Daily Mercato journalist Ekram Konnur, Real Madrid are strong favorites to seal the signature of Calabria come next summer when he enters the final year of his contract.
Los Blancos have relied heavily on Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vasquez in recent seasons, both in their early thirties, and the right-back position has been one of the club’s main weak points. Manchester City, among all adversaries, can vouch for Madrid’s fragility on the right flank, having dismantled them in the UEFA Champions League last season before ousting Inter to the title.
The Spanish giants, however, have Chelsea’s Reece James atop their wishlist. Failing to lure the Englishman will mean the attention could transfer to Calabria.
Our Take on Calabria and Madrid
Calabria has etched himself as a starter under Pioli, having graduated from the club’s academy. However, his inconsistent performances of late are bound to deter any interested side going forward. Unless and until he improves on a weekly basis, it is hard to see any big club sign him on a permanent basis.
