Real Madrid Laying Plans to Land Inter Star

Even though Kylian Mbappé remains the ultimate dream at the Spanish capital, Florentino Perez is still considering other options. Real Madrid are looking to sign a major star in attack, and if the Paris Saint Germain phenom proves to be an impossible objective this summer, then Lautaro Martinez could be the right alternative.

The Argentine has only recently won his first trophy at Inter, as the club sealed their first Scudetto title in eleven years only last weekend.

The Bull has formed an incredible understanding with his partner in crime Romelu Lukaku, and the pair has terrified opposition defenses all over the Italian peninsula.

Nonetheless, the Spanish capital side has reportedly laid a clever plan to secure the services of the 23-year-old striker, and it involves one of their former players.

According to Calciomercato, Real Madrid would be willing to renounce the remaining part from Achraf Hakimi’s transfer fee, in order to receive a discount for Lautaro.

The Moroccan completed his move from Los Merenegues towards the Nerazzurri last summer for a fee estimated to be around 45 million euros.

However, it has been reported that the Italians were struggling to deposit the rest of the payments as per schedule.

Whilst Inter’s asking price for the former Racing Club man is believed to be set at 90 millions, the Spanish capital club would be ready to offer 30 millions plus discharging the Beneamata from Hakimi’s payments.

The report adds that Madrid can also take advantage of their great relationship with the player’s new agent, Alejandro Camano, who also played a part in the Hakimi operation last season.

It should also be noted that the number 10 had also been linked with a move to Barcelona in the past.

This season, Martinez has so far contributed in 15 goals and 8 assists in his 34 Serie A appearances thus far.
