Real Madrid Outcast High on Inter’s Wishlist to Replace Alexis Sanchez

The Nerazzurri are keen on reinforcing their attack as Alexis Sanchez’s future at Giuseppe Meazza has been tethered down to an exit. The Chilean is bound to leave in January and Inter will look to add another striker as his direct replacement.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Real Madrid outcast Luka Jovic is the man under spotlight from Inter’s hierarchy. The Serbian marksman is out of favor, failing to etch himself down under Carlo Ancelotti, as it was the same story under ex-manager Zinedine Zidane.

The former Eintracht Frankfurt striker is touted to be a direct replacement for Sanchez and although Edin Dzeko and Joaquin Correa have arrived, sporting director Piero Ausilio and CEO Beppe Marotta is said to be an admirer of the centre-forward.

The 23-year-old’s contract in the Spanish capital expires in June 2025. He has not started any match this season so far for Los Blancos, with all of his six appearances so far arriving from the bench.

Inter are keen on relieving Sanchez’s €7.5m net per annum wages. They would add Jovic for €2.5m lesser than the ex-Barcelona striker.
