Francisco Román Alarcón Suárez – more commonly known as Isco – has been a part of Real Madrid’s first team since his high-profile transfer from Malaga in 2013. But unfortunately for the talented Spaniard, his playing time under manager Zinedine Zidane has been decreasing with every season. According to his father and agent – via Calcionews 24 – Isco could finally seek a move away from La Liga during the upcoming January transfer market, with Serie A being a very possible destination, putting Juventus, Inter and Milan all on high alert.
This season, Isco has so far only started in three matches in La Liga – without ever completing the full 90 minutes – and was used as a substitute on four other occasions. It is pretty obvious at this point, that the 28-year-old is no longer considered as an essential element in Zidane’s plans, especially in the presence of an outrageously packed attack, containing the world-class Karim Benzema and Eden Hazard, young guns like Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo and Luka Jovic, as well as his compatriots Asensio and Lucas Vázquez.
So how would Isco fare with each of the three Italian giants – Juventus, Inter and Milan?
Juventus
Isco would definitely relish the chance to reunite with his former Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, once again at Juventus, whilst the other former Los Blancos Alvaro Morata and Danilo are a living proof that leaving the Spanish capital can help revamp one’s career.
Although Andrea Pirlo’s midfield is packed with physically strong men like Rodrigo Bentancur, Adrien Rabiot and Weston McKennie, Juventus were seeking a more talented and attacking-minded midfielder last summer – with Lyon’s Houssem Aouar being the prime candidate. Thus, the arrival of Isco could complete an otherwise fabulous Bianconeri squad.

Inter
Here’s a happy thought for Antonio Conte. Inter might be able to replace the out-of-form Christian Eriksen with the more dynamic Isco (a player-exchange perhaps?)
General director Giuseppe Marotta has been doing a brilliant job with the club for the past two years, pulling one exciting transfer after another. And if he’s able to lure the Spaniard away from Real Madrid – in reminiscence to Achraf Hakimi’s transfer – then Inter’s terrific midfield would be further enhanced, and Nicolò Barella could be allowed to drop back a little alongside Arturo Vidal or Marcelo Brozovic, while Isco operates behind the strikers.

Milan
Milan enjoy a historically amiable relationship with Real Madrid which saw them complete some big signings – like “Il Fenomeno” Ronaldo and Kaka’s return – for low costs. During last summer, Brahim Diaz was the latest name to move from the Spanish capital to Europe’s fashion capital, so could Isco follow his young compatriot?
One thing is for sure, with Hakan Çalhanoğlu’s possible departure by the end of the season, Milan are desperate for a replacement, almost as much as the former Valencia man is desperate for some playing time prior to Euro 2020.

Our View on the Transfer of Isco
As mentioned above, Juventus, Inter and Milan are all in need of an attacking midfielder in Isco’s status for various reasons. But while playing time won’t come easily at Turin, and convincing Antonio Conte isn’t always easy at the Nerazzurri, Milan seem to be a match made in heaven for the Spanish international who would supposedly see enough playing time alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic and company, and would be the best possible replacement for Çalhanoğlu.
And let’s not forget how Isco’s top level experience would be crucial for a young Milan side who’s seeking a return to Europe’s elite competition.
