Real Madrid Tactician Ancelotti Praises Serie A Duel: “May Milan Win”

As Manchester City prepare to welcome Real Madrid in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League at the Etihad Stadium, the latter’s coach, who is a bona fide Italian mastermind, had words to share regarding the two-way title race that has emerged for the Scudetto after Napoli took a beating at Empoli over the weekend.

Speaking to Sky Sport, Carlo Ancelotti shared his opinion on the Serie A title race and it is no secret which team he backs to win the famed championship.

When quizzed about if he follows the happenings in his homeland, he said: “I follow it, of course. I’m very attracted to Italian football.” (via FCInterNews)

Milan came from two goals down to oust Lazio 2-1 at the Stadio Olimpico, a victory Ancelotti reflects upon, saying that there hasn’t been quite a tussle as the current one for the tittle for a long time.

“Yesterday Milan won an important victory. It’s a good fight that hadn’t been there for a long time in Italy. May Milan win,” he concluded.

Milan sit atop the standings with 74 points from 34 games, two points ahead of Inter, who still have a game in hand.
