Rebic Departure to Nudge Milan Closer to Signing Musah

Ante Rebic is on the verge of leaving Milan, which would give the team more ammo to up their offer for Musah and seal the deal. The Croat is close to Besiktas. He should move to Turkey permanently.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the two clubs are discussing a free transfer, but the Rossoneri could get €2M bonuses. The Italian side would save on his wages. He makes €3.5M net per year, and his contract runs until 2025. If there are no hiccups, the complete agreement could be struck by the end of the day.

Rebic leaving will open up more resources that Milan will use for a final raise to onboard Musah. Per Relevo, the Rossoneri are prepared to offer €20M. The sum comes close to Valencia’s request. They have softened their stance after asking for €25M in the past.

Geoffrey Moncada and co. had begun their pursuit by tendering around €12/13M and then proceeded with incremental increases. The player is putting pressure on his club to okay the transfer, as he’s eager to switch teams.

Our Take on Milan, Musah, and Rebic

The Rossoneri have yet to miss out on a player they really liked. It probably won’t be the case for the USMNT budding star either. The veteran had his moments two or three years ago but spent most of the recent campaigns on the mend.
