Reijnders Dishes on His Positive Introduction at Milan

Tijjani Reijnders has had a strong impact following his transfer from AZ Alkmaar and is enjoying his new life in Milan. He talked about his summer move and adaptation to a new town to NOS.

“When I look around here, where my family will soon live, I think it’s great. It’s a metropolis with many good restaurants. I’m at one of the biggest clubs in the world. I see myself staying put for a few years. You get used quickly.”

Reijnders praised the level of organization at Milan.

“They have a team of seven people that assists the players with finding a house and similar stuff. This removes a lot of the worries and keep you focused on football. The squad was very polite. They helped me tactically and in translating from Italian to English.”

Reijnders is fully aware of the prestigious history of Milan.

“You are taken seriously only if you display your qualities. I see their Hall of Fame every time I go to the gym. There are Ruud Gullitt and Marco van Basten with their Ballons d’Or. I’m very happy here given the club’s Dutch legacy.”

“My teammates call me Power Reijnders and come up with all sorts of nicknames. The season just started, but we are on the right track. We truly want the Scudetto. I haven’t won anything yet, so I wish my first trophy was with this club.”
