Rich Suitors Line Up for Zaniolo Following Loud Derby Snub

The exclusion of Nicolò Zaniolo from the Derby was noteworthy, and his future at Roma is becoming increasingly uncertain. The starlet was not in XI against Spezia either, but he came off the bench well. Instead, he did not log a single minute versus Lazio despite the large result.

It is no secret that the 22-year-old is one of the main targets for Juventus to replace Paulo Dybala. However, the two sides have not had any direct conversation on the matter yet, Sky Sport informs. The Bianconeri are also keen on Giacomo Raspadori.

According to Il Messaggero, Roma are well aware of other teams’ major interest in Zaniolo. They fueled the speculations by turning down the possibility of extending his contract early a couple of months ago. On top of the Old Lady, Milan, Manchester United, Tottenham, and PSG would be in the mix if they started listening to offers.

The bids would have to be substantial as the Giallorossi would look to get at least €45-60M. The player demands around €5M wages to depart. Zaniolo is currently tied to Roma until 2024, which keeps his price tag somewhat in check. Still, the outfit would try to cash in as much as possible if they opted to take that route.

The starlet has mostly stayed healthy in 2021-2022. However, he has not had a great season overall amid a few tactical changes and some minor disagreements with José Mourinho. He has logged 4 goals and 8 assists in 33 appearances across all competitions.
