Rick Karsdorp Misses Roma Training, All But Set for Winter Transfer

Life for Rick Karsdorp at Roma under Jose Mourinho has taken a quick U-turn, with the Dutch full-back praising the Special One not long ago, only to arrive at an impasse this term after a controversial situation during the 1-1 draw at Sassuolo earlier this month. Mourinho hit out at an unnamed Giallorossi player for his ‘unprofessional behavior’, which was rightfully presumed by Italian media to be Karsdorp.

To make matters worse, the Dutchman refrained from attending a Roma training session at their Trigoria complex this week. According to Il Tempo (via Voce Giallorossa), there is no going back to level terms for either party following his decision to skip training. His exit from the club is almost a certainty.

The wingback is not short of suitors to lure him away from Stadio Olimpico, with Italian rivals Juventus in the fray, alongside French outfit Olympique de Marseille and his former club Feyenoord Rotterdam.

Rick Karsdorp was also left out of Mourinho’s squad for the Roma-Torino encounter. It seems likely that his disappointing outing against the Neroverdi was his last match in the Giallorossi colors.

The player’s agent John Henkes earlier spoke out regarding the treatment of his client, demanding for answers from Mourinho and Roma, but to no avail.
