Throughout his breakthrough Serie A campaign with Bologna, the rising Scottish star Aaron Hickey has attracted the interest of Premier League giants Arsenal.
Since arriving from the Scottish Premiership side Heart of Midolthian in 2020, the 19 year-old has climbed up the ranks and has continuously impressed Mihajlovic, allowing him to emerge as a regular within his current squad.
So far this season, the promising full-back has scored five goals and provided one assist in 33 Serie A games played for the Rossoblu.
Despite being tied to Bologna on a long-term contract that runs through 2024, Arsenal have placed Hickey within their shortlist of summer targets as they are eager to reel him in at the Emirates Stadium next season.
According to The Sun Football, the Gunners are keen to match Bologna’s €20M evaluation as a result of his sensational season within the top-flight league of Italy.
With Arsenal only possessing Kieran Tierney as a solid left-back choice within their squad, the club officials believe that the acquisition of Hickey would strengthen their depth within the back-line.
