Thee 21-year-old has a release clause of €25m, but Hidalgo deferred from any financial talks, citing that the club has the ultimate say in setting a price.
“It’s a matter to be discussed with the club, it’s not me who has to make the price, it’s up to the club. We will make a good negotiation, if an important offer arrives, otherwise he is happy to stay at the River.”
He finally drew comparison with Inter’s former star marksman Diego Milito and a possible duo with fellow Argentine sensation Lautaro Martinez at Inter.
“Each player has his own characteristics. Julian like Diego has an excellent ball possession, he is technical, with good feet. He can play from first or second point, but also outside the area.
I don’t advertise Inter, he would be fine with Ibrahimovic, Lautaro or some champions in England. The important thing is that a serious club arrives.”
