Robin Gosens Just Second Piece in Inter Grand Strategy

Robin Gosens has signed his contract with Inter after taking the medicals earlier today. The left-back will be ready to play at the end of February. He needs to complete the rehab from two thigh injuries in a row that sidelined him for months.

According to Sky Sport, the handling of the recovery was one of the aspects that caused the relationship between the German international and Atalanta to strain. The club pressed him to return early, and he suffered a relapse in late December.

The two clubs perfected their agreement yesterday. Gosens will join Inter on an 18-month loan spell with conditioned obligation to buy, but it is just a technicality. The €25M move will become permanent once he makes his first appearance in January 2023. The package includes €3M potential add-ons. He penned a four-and-a-half-year deal with €2.5M wages.

While he will come in handy down the stretch, the Nerazzurri envision him taking full possession of the left flank next season. After snatching him and André Onana, La Beneamata continues to keep an eye on the future and do not plan to stop. They have laid the foundation to sign Gianluca Scamacca and Davide Frattesi, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.

The talks with Sassuolo are not at their final stages, but they are in the lead for both youngsters. Juventus signing Dusan Vlahovic gives them the inside track for the striker. They could invest up to €60M for the double swoop next summer. Inter are also the frontrunners to land Bremer from Torino.
