Roma Await Abraham Decision After Key Meeting

Tammy Abraham’s exit from Chelsea is almost fixed as the Blues have secured the signing of Inter star striker Romelu Lukaku. A potential list of suitors have been drawn up for the England striker, who ended up as Chelsea’s top scorer last season although he didn’t feature under Tuchel’s plans for the latter half of the season.

Roma are one of them. It was reported few days earlier that the transfer fee of 34m i.e €40m offered by the Giallorossi was accepted by Chelsea. However, personal terms of agreement between the Romans and the player is impending. Last evening, a rendezvous took place between Abraham and Roma sporting director Tiago Pinto in London.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Chelsea striker was offered a starting position, the No.9 jersey and an initial starting salary of €4.5m.

The verdict by the player is yet to be announced as Arsenal also keep a keen eye on the situation.
