Matias Soule’s transfer from Juventus to Roma is now a mere formality, with routine medical checks for the Argentine prodigy scheduled for Monday. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the 21-year-old will touch down at the Stadio Olimpico tomorrow to undergo medical before penning a multi-year contract.
Soule will put pen to paper on a five-year deal worth circa €2 million net per season plus add-ons. Roma will pour €26m plus €2m in easily accessible bonuses into Juventus’ coffers to fulfill Daniele De Rossi’s dream of pairing the highly-rated youngster with his countryman Paulo Dybala in the front third.
Roma had to beat Leicester City to Soule’s signature. It was supposed to be an uphill task, but the forward’s desire to continue his career in Rome gave the newly promoted Premier League club no chance.
