Roma have been attached to some big-name options to shore up their midfield, but they could eventually pivot toward more reachable candidates, like Nicolas Dominguez, if they proved too hard to sign. They could orchestrate a multi-player deal with Bologna, Calciomercato informs.
The Argentine has just one year on his contract, and the extension talks haven’t progressed. Fiorentina, Milan, and Fenerbahce are keeping tabs on him as well.
Roma could lure Dominguez with a package involving Ola Solbakken. The winger hasn’t impressed in his first six months in the Italian capital. However, he joined on a Bosman transfer, so he wouldn’t be tough to relocate if the management decided so.
The Felsinei might need a new attacker, as Riccardo Orsolini also has a short-term deal and has been linked to bigger clubs. Musa Barrow isn’t so certain to stay either.

He doesn’t have the resumé of Marcel Sabitzer and Renato Sanches, but he’d be functional to what they need, and he wouldn’t be cumbersome if he doesn’t feature regularly. He has significantly rounded out his game under Thiago Motta. The Norwegian attacker has shown just flashes, but it would be a little early to give up on him since he had no time to adjust to his new surroundings.
