Juventus starlet Matias Soule could leave Turin permanently this summer, with Roma registering an interest in the Argentine forward. According to Fabrizio Romano, Daniele De Rossi’s men have identified the super-talented winger as an ideal attacking addition.
Roma had long been interested in outgoing Juventus ace Federico Chiesa. However, they recently left the race, paving the way for Napoli to sign the 26-year-old forward. Chiesa’s unconvincing showings at EURO 2024 deterred the Giallorossi from concretizing their long-standing interest.
But Roma could still do business with Juventus. Soule has emerged as a genuine target for the capital-based outfit. Though they’ve yet to piece together a formal bid, De Rossi’s charges are well-positioned to capture the 21-year-old’s services.
Soule established himself as a top-notch talent last season. His burgeoning potential was dazzling at Frosinone. Despite scoring 11 and assisting three goals in 36 league appearances, he couldn’t save the Canaries from the drop.
His future intertwines with Serie A despite being on the fringes of the Juventus squad. Roma would offer him an escape route from the Allianz Stadium. Yet, it will require the Bianconeri to lower their excessive €35-40 million demands.
Roma have deemed Juventus’ initial requests outrageous. While they can’t afford such a costly operation, it’s no obstacle for Premier League clubs, with Leicester City leading the charge. After selling Kieran Dewsbury-Hall to Chelsea, they’re flushed with cash and willing to invest in Soule’s arrival.
